Becoming Supernatural by Dr Joe Dispenza
Recently, I read a book by Dr Joe Dispenza called Supernatural & this had profoundly changed the way I look at life. For anyone who is interested to know more about him, you can visit his website and read his various books on quantum physics, epigenetics and neurophysics.
I found this book precisely touching compared to other spiritual books merely because of the examples of actual life situations that were shared. He also explains the neurological differences seen after initiating meditation , biochemical changes which brings about heart and brain coherence. He started off chapter one talking about an average girl next door ' Anna’. A young lady who lost her husband, the way she grieved which led her to manifest and autoimmune condition , the selection of word I use was manifest not develop ( because of her depressive thoughts and negative affirmations over the years , changed her gene expressions which led her to manifest ) an autoimmune condition. This was a profound example of how epigenetic impacts a person’s life.
The following chapter he described was how she discovered meditation, changed her thoughts and beliefs. How she applied her minimal exposure of meditation that led her to discover the depths of meditation and undo her past beliefs. He also explained the neurological pathways that were involved in forming beliefs and what was needed to recondition beliefs.
As cliche as it sounds, too good to be true , change your thoughts and life changes, he explained the biochemical reactions that occur in the body when a person is experiences a positive/ negative circumstance. As I mentioned earlier, it may sound like people who talk about these things are a little delusional, but look he has documented brain waves in and off coherence.
For example, he gives an example how chronic stress affects our body. Chronic stress response is not an adaptive state , it is maladaptive. When we’re living in survival mode and hormones like adrenaline and cortisol keep pumping through our body, we stay on high alert instead of returning to balance. This in long term causes imbalances and down regulates the healthy gene expressions. In this mode, our brains becomes overly alert and aroused and force outcomes in an effort to increase our chances of survival.
When you are living like this you have to constantly shift your attention from work , Facebook , your ex, news emails , you are activating each of these different neurological networks very quickly. If you keep doing this, you’re training your brain to fire in a disordered, incoherent pattern which causes it to work in inefficiently.
Since energy is frequency and all. Frequencies carry information , it is that elevated energy that carries your thought or intention.
You have to become pure consciousness ( no body , no one, no thing , no where, in no time ) and change your energy, the electromagnetic signal you are broadcasting , then you will draw that future experience right to you ( changing energy into matter).
Not only your body is made up of light and information, it is also made of energy and consciousness but also that you as a conscious being with a body made of gravitationally organised lightly packed with information that is continuously sending and receiving various frequencies, all carrying different signals.
He also describes the importance of meditation and how it helps us develop two types of attentions, convergent or divergent focus. Irony is he talks about chakra meditation in a scientific manner as he explains the energies related to each levels of the chakra that is explained in the Vedic teachings.
Mind is the brain in action , so if each one of these energy centres has a plexus of neutrons, then each has its own individual mind or better said , each centre has a mind of its own. What activates the mind is energy with a directive and intention , a conscious intent.
This is a pivotal moment in the story of humanity where ancient wisdom and modern science are intersecting to provide us with the technology and scientific understanding to learn not only how to more efficiently and effectively manage our emotions, but also what that means for our health, relationships, energy levels, and personal and collective evolution. It doesn’t require moving mountains, only changing our internal state of being. This allows us to alter the way we act with one another, replacing stressful situations with positive experiences that give us energy, fill our spirit, and leave us with a sense of wholeness, connection, and unity.
In further chapters, once brain and heart are in coherence he teaches you how to make your dream into reality whilst being aligned. He also provides examples that are yet so profound and easy for anyone to understand and replicate.
With that I would end it here, because there would be no end to describing how beautifully this book has been narrated and I cannot stress on the significance that this book carries.
